Signed, dated and location ("h. Le Secq, Strasbourg. 1851") reversed out of the negative in the lower right. A very rare and important print for the Mission Heliographique, although this print was not retained by the MH. Most such prints are in institutions. Very few are in private hands. See: Janis and Sartre, Henri Le Secq Photographie de 1850 a 1860, cat. no.155, p.124. Provenance: Family of the photographer, Henri Le Secq.
