June 1962 Used TIME Sept 28, 1962 stamp on verso.Paul Schutzer, a photojournalist with LIFE Magazine was born in Brooklyn on July 11, 1930 and died while on assignment during the Six-Day War, June 5, 1967 in Negev, Israel. He was only 36 and died on the first day of the war. Life magazine later published his last photos that were in his camera when he was shot. He was famous for his "The Blunt Reality of the War in Vietnam" cover photo in Life.
